My name is Marcus Johnson and I've been coaching athletes and everyday people in Toronto for over twelve years. My journey began as a competitive powerlifter — I earned my Master of Sport designation in 2013 and went on to become provincial champion that same year. But what truly changed my life was realizing I wanted to transfer that knowledge, discipline, and energy to others.
Since 2014, I've worked with over 150 clients ranging from complete beginners who'd never set foot in a gym to semi-professional athletes preparing for competition. I take a deeply individualized approach to each client — no cookie-cutter programmes, no guesswork. Every session is built around your body, your history, your schedule, and your specific goal.
My specialties include powerlifting mechanics, body composition transformation (both fat loss and muscle gain), sports conditioning for hockey and football athletes, and post-injury return-to-sport programmes. I hold certifications in nutrition coaching and hold a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation from the NSCA — one of the most rigorous certifications in the industry.

I believe the best training programme is the one you'll actually stick to. That's why I start every client relationship with an honest, thorough conversation about your lifestyle, stress levels, work schedule, and what you genuinely enjoy. Sustainable results come from habits, not heroics. I push my clients hard — but intelligently. Recovery, sleep, and nutrition are not optional extras in my methodology; they are the programme.
I offer both in-person sessions at premium facilities in downtown Toronto and fully online coaching packages with weekly check-ins, video form reviews, and 24/7 messaging support. Whether you want to lose your first 10 kg or set a new personal record on the platform, I'm here for the whole journey.
